UV LED printing lays specially formulated full-color ink directly onto a surface and cures it almost immediately with ultraviolet LED light. The result is a durable printed layer that sits on top of the material and can include white ink, gloss, and raised texture effects.
/How the process works
UV LED printing starts with digital artwork that is prepared for the material and the desired finish. The printer deposits tiny droplets of UV-curable ink directly onto the product. UV LED light then cures the ink as it is printed, turning the liquid ink into a solid surface layer almost instantly.
White ink can be printed underneath the colors to keep graphics bright on dark or transparent materials. Specialty gloss or clear ink can also be layered onto specific areas to create shine, texture, or raised details.
Depending on the material, the surface may need to be cleaned or treated with a primer before printing to improve ink adhesion.

UV LED printing produces detailed full-color graphics using CMYK inks and can also use white and specialty clear inks.
White ink allows bright, opaque graphics on dark and transparent surfaces. Clear gloss or varnish can be added selectively to create:

A properly produced UV print can provide excellent durability, but performance depends on the ink, substrate, surface preparation, curing, and how the finished product is used.
For best results:
Handle printed surfaces with reasonable care.
Avoid aggressive scraping or abrasive cleaners.
Use cleaning products appropriate for the material.
Avoid prolonged exposure to harsh chemicals unless the print has been tested for that application.
For outdoor products, use an ink and substrate combination rated for outdoor exposure.
Do not assume every UV print has the same durability; different materials and applications can produce different results.
UV LED printing creates a cured ink layer that is designed for everyday use, but it is still a surface decoration. Proper care helps preserve the color, finish, and dimensional details of the finished product.
